Double Denim Days

Jumuah Mubarak and Happy Friday Lovelies! Clearly I'm still loving being able to wear jeans after a 9 month hiatus. While pregnant, I couldn't wait to be wearing a lot of my tops once I had given birth. And now that I have, surprise! I still can't wear most of them just yet. Hello, exclusive breastfeeding and feeding on demand. For this reason, button down shirts have been my main go-to.

My first blog post as a Mom. A Mother. A Mommy. A Parent. Those have got to be the weightiest words in the dictionary. I won’t ramble on about it too much but in July, we were blessed with the sweetest little girl, Alhamdulillah. In these past two months, I have become more appreciative for all that we've been blessed with, even the smallest of things. From the support of my husband and family to being able to stay at home for a few months to look after our daughter.

The Peach Kimono

Hi everyone! First of all, Ramadaan Kareem to you and your loved ones. Whenever it is announced that the next day will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadaan, I always feel an immense amount of gratitude at having being blessed with another opportunity to experience this beautiful month. I hope we all do our utmost to reap its benefits and blessings, insha Allah Ameen.

Zanzibar | Nungwi

Day 4 of our vacay in Zanzibar consisted of spending the day on the north-western part of the island called Nungwi. We started the day by visiting the Mnarani Marine Turtle Conservation Pond, where I totally lost my isht because sea turtles are my spirit animal. I am positively in love with the creatures (even named our slow little green car after them) and seeing them up close was a dream come true for me.

Hello lovely readers! I’ve been terribly quiet on the blogging front, I must admit! Alhamdulillah, my pregnancy has really been such a wonderfully easy experience. I am in complete awe of Allah’s mercy and truly grateful for this blessing. I’m literally days away from my due date and feeling a bit dumb struck as to how quickly these 9 months have sped by. Or even a whole year for that matter.
